This trip takes you from Åndalsnes to Molde and is a great option if you arrive at Åndalsnes by train and want to go on to Molde.
Note! Damages on several railway bridges after the extreme weather in August 2023 still affects the train schedule to and from Åndalsnes. There have been several changes to the schedule after the extreme weather and we expect new adjustments closer to the summer of the train schedule and the corresponding bus times. This trip therefore cannot be booked longer than for May departures.
Molde is famous for its view towards the “Molde Panorama”, the impressive row of mountains on the other side of the fjord. Located between sea and mountains and with a short distance from the one to the other, you can explore the fjord, the town centre and the mountains behind the town in a short time.
In the summer, the town lives up to its name “Town of roses”, and in July the famous Molde International Jazz Festival takes place.
The bus goes via the Åfarnes – Sølsnes ferry to Molde. The bus goes on the ferry and continues to Molde. The tour price includes the ferry ticket.
When you book this trip, you will receive an e-mail with a ticket that is valid for the whole trip. You will also receive a tour description that contains detailed information about departure times and where you must change to another bus, boat of ferry – when applicable. The tour description also includes some information about the trip and the destination.
For many of the trips there is a free audio guide available that you can download to your mobile phone. The guide displays text, pictures, and audio information about points of interest along the route. The tour description you receive includes more information about downloading the audioguide.

This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Tours cannot be booked for public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the tour is bookable.
