Åndalsnes - Molde - Kristiansund
This trip takes you from Åndalsnes to Kristiansund via Molde and is a great option if you arrive at Åndalsnes by train and want to go on to Kristiansund.
The first part goes via the Åfarnes – Sølsnes ferry to Molde. The bus goes on the ferry and continues to Molde.
You have a little time to look around in Molde, a charming town situated between the fjords and the mountains.
From Molde the trip goes via Batnfjorden and Frei. Along the route you can enjoy the beautiful mountain and fjord landscape.
Kristiansund is Norway’s klippfisk («cliff fish») town, with rich traditions for bacalao and other klippfisk dishes, that are served in several restaurants in town. Kristiansund also has a varied cultural offering and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. From “Varden” you have a splendid view of the town and if you want to further see Kristiansund by sea you can take a trip with Sundbåten.
When you book this trip, you will receive an e-mail with a ticket that is valid for the whole trip. You will also receive a tour description that contains detailed information about departure times and where you must change to another bus, boat of ferry – when applicable. The tour description also includes some information about the trip and the destination.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.

This trip cannot be booked for Norwegian public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas. This is due to possible deviations in the timetables that are not reflected in the Travel like the locals booking system.
You can check the travel planner on the FRAM website for find possible departures on public holidays, and it is possible to buy a ticket on board the bus or express boat, paying with a credit card.
