Visit one of the world’s most beautiful fjords and enjoy the mighty mountains!
The trip goes by bus from Geiranger, up the spectacular Eagle Road, and to Eidsdal where you cross by ferry to Linge. From Linge, you continue via Sjøholt to Molde.
The Eagle Road is part of Norwegian Scenic Route Geiranger-Trollstigen. Norwegian Scenic Routes are selected roads that run through landscapes with unique natural qualities, along coasts and fjords, mountains and waterfalls. The routes are intended as alternatives to the main roads, and the drive itself should be an enjoyable experience. On the Norwegian Scenic Routes web page you can read more about Norwegian Scenic Route Geiranger – Trollstigen.
The trip from Sjøholt to Molde includes a ferry trip on the Romsdalsfjord, with a magnificent view towards Molde.
On the ferry you also have the opportunity to taste the local speciality svele (a type of sweet pancake), which is sold onboard.
Molde is famous for its view towards the “Molde Panorama”, the impressive row of mountains on the other side of the fjord. Located between sea and mountains and with a short distance from the one to the other, you can explore the fjord, the town center and the mountains behind the town in a short time.
In the summer, the town lives up to its name “Town of roses”, and in July the famous Molde International Jazz Festival takes place.
Departure from: Union Hotel or Geiranger village centre
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Tours cannot be booked for public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the tour is bookable.

Note! Due to ongoing works at the quay, the bus cannot drive down to the ferry quay. When you arrive at Linge, you must walk up to the main road and take the bus from there.
