Kristiansund - Trondheim
This trip takes you from Kristiansund to Trondheim by sea on an express boat. The boat starts from the centre of Kristiansund and takes you to Trondheim express boat terminal centrally in Trondheim.Between Kristiansund and Trondheim the boat has several stops, including Edøya at Smøla, Kjørsvikbugen in Aure, Hitra island, and Brekstad at Ørlandet. The stops are short, so we ask our travellers to remain on board during the whole voyage. The ticket is only valid on the date and for the departure time specified on the ticket.
From the boat you can see the coastal landscape of the middle part of Norway. You will see small and large island, local communities and a fascinating “seascape”.
On board the boat there is a possibility to purchase food like sandwiches, fast food, cakes, etc.
Trondheim is Norway’s third largest city and offers many highlights. Very close to the express boat terminal you find for example Rockhein, Norways national museum for popular music. There are several other popular museums in the city.
The Nidaros cathedral in the city centre is an impressive sight. The history of the cathedral makes it one of the most popular destinations for pilgrims in Europe. By the cathedral you also find the archbishop’s residence.
In terms of food, Trondheim offers everything from informal, cosy cafes to exclusive Michelin restaurants.
When you book this trip, you will receive an e-mail with a ticket that is valid for the whole trip. You will also receive a tour description that contains detailed information about departure times and where you must change to another bus, boat of ferry – when applicable. The tour description also includes some information about the trip and the destination.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.

This trip cannot be booked for Norwegian public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas. This is due to possible deviations in the timetables that are not reflected in the Travel like the locals booking system.
