Kristiansund - Molde - Åndalsnes
This trip goes from Kristiansund to Åndalsnes and corresponds with train departures from Åndalsnes.
The trip to Molde goes via Frei and Batnfjorden. Along the route you can enjoy the beautiful mountain and fjord landscape.
On some departures you have some time in Molde and can take a walk in this charming town situated between the fjord and the mountains.
You then continue from Molde to Åndalsnes. A short ferry ride is included (the bus drives onto the ferry) before the road winds its way towards Åndalsnes, allowing you to rest your eyes on the beautiful scenery and idyllic places along the road.
Åndalsnes is a nice town, majestically situated between the fjord and the mountains. Around Åndalsnes you have all possibilities to experience various activities, from stand-up paddling in the rivers to mountain hikes at all levels, via ferrata, or a gondola ride to the top of the Nesaksla mountain – where the view is spectacular.
When you book this trip, you will receive an e-mail with a ticket that is valid for the whole trip. You will also receive a tour description that contains detailed information about departure times and where you must change to another bus, boat of ferry – when applicable. The tour description also includes some information about the trip and the destination.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.

This trip cannot be booked for Norwegian public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas. This is due to possible deviations in the timetables that are not reflected in the Travel like the locals booking system.
You can check the travel planner on the FRAM website for find possible departures on public holidays, and it is possible to buy a ticket on board the bus or express boat, paying with a credit card.
